Beebe, a town of approximately 6,000 people, provides a small-town atmosphere within 30 miles of the Little Rock\North Little Rock metropolitan area. It is 20 miles south of Searcy with a population of 20,000 and 35 miles east of Conway with a population of 43,000. It is only 40 miles from Greers Ferry Lake for those who like water sports and world-class trout fishing. Several golf courses are in the area.
A railroad track and four highways pass through Beebe , U.S. 64, 67, 167 and state highway 31.
Arkansas State University-Beebe provides over 4,400 students access to certificates and associate degrees at its four sites or online, as well as selected baccalaureate and master's programs offered through ASU-Jonesboro. Over half of these students attend at the Beebe campus. The Beebe Public School District has approximately 3,235 students and has a reputation for quality and safety that attracts many new families to the community.
The Beebe Chamber of Commerce is directed by an executive board and currently has 105 members. We offer opportunities for networking, community service involvement, and business promotion and development. Some of the community activities with which the chamber partners include: Evening Christmas Parade, Beebe Fall Fest, Back to School at ASU-Beebe, and the Annual Banquet and Auction.
